Two Blessings In the North County Today

A Rainbow Over Wine Country

Yes, if you look closely, you can make out the rainbow. It was bigger and brighter, but by the time I could find a place to pull over and take a picture, it began to disappear. Still, though, the rainbow has symbolized hope for a long time. Seeing it was a personal blessing to me.

Of course, the rainbow would not have been there were it not for the blessing that preceded it — the rain itself. After the drought, which is very evident at Larry Moore Park, the land is very thirsty. The gentle rain will help. Many of the vineyards have already harvested. I don’t have all my walnuts picked yet — most of one tree to go — but I did get two lugs filled over the weekend. Hopefully the rain won’t ruin the rest of my nuts or the remaining unpicked grapes in the vineyards.
