Paso Robles lost a wonderful man yesterday morning. Bill Halopoff, native Californian, was born May 31, 1934. Many knew him as an international design consultant. I first met  him as a visitor to the “Speed” exhibit sponsored by the Paso Robles Art Association, of which he was an active member. We talked, and he let me take this picture to use in a  blog on the exhibit. It was only later that I discovered we both attended Covenant Presbyterian Church in Paso Robles. He said he could teach anyone to draw, even me. I always intended to let him try, but I never seemed to have the time. Now it’s too late. His sudden death of cardiac arrest on Monday morning was a great shock to all in our church community.

You might want to vist Bill’s Facebook Page now if you are one of his Facebook friends and leave your memories and words for Nancy. She has announced that the service will tentatively be on December 29, and she will update the Facebook page when the date and time are confirmed.

Meanwhile, keep Nancy and her daughter in your prayers as they face this time when they would have been preparing to celebrate Christmas, and instead must plan a memorial service. May the Light of the World illuminate this dark time for them, and reassure them that this goodbye is not forever.
