North San Luis Obispo County has a wealth of different scenes. From the beach at Cambria to a covered bridge in Paso Robles and all the wine country in between, there is plenty of variety for those who want to explore on foot. When it’s hot in the North County, what could be a better escape than Moonstone Beach in Cambria? Come along with me on my last visit.
There’s nothing like a trip to the coast to see the elephant seals and watch the beach sunset to revive one’s spirit. A walk to the end of the pier in San Simeon was part of a detour along the way north, and then I took a photo walk looking south toward the lighthouse. Finally we drove south again to capture the elephant seals with my cameras.
