Rain and colder weather have finally come to the North County, letting us feel autumn has arrived just in time for Thanksgiving. I finally had a chance to capture the change in seasons with my camera.
Autumn is one of the best times to enjoy the view of the vineyards. The vines are dressed in their brightest colors as October nears an end, and most of the grapes are in the process of harvest or already through it. I hope you seeing these vines as I did on October 23, 2012, in some of my local vineyards in Paso Robles and Templeton.
The blessings of the recent rain are for all, but are especially appreciated in the North County by those who grow the grapes to make the wine and those with livestock who long for green pastures.
In this blog, I will present what I love about North San Luis Obispo County as seen by one who enjoys living here. I will take you to my favorite places in pictures and video so you can see them with me. I will introduce you to some of my favorite artists and musicians here as I discover them. And you can tag along as I visit local tasting rooms and vineyards throughout the year as the seasons change.
