A rainbow lured me out of my car to capture it on camera, but the serenity of the deserted Peachy Canyon Winery Tasting Room grounds, near where I had parked, tempted me to take additional pictures. What an oasis for the road weary in 46 West Wine Country!

North San Luis Obispo County has a wealth of different scenes. From the beach at Cambria to a covered bridge in Paso Robles and all the wine country in between, there is plenty of variety for those who want to explore on foot. I hope you will join me on a quick visual recap of my last few photo walks.
Rain and colder weather have finally come to the North County, letting us feel autumn has arrived just in time for Thanksgiving. I finally had a chance to capture the change in seasons with my camera.
I stopped off at Zenaida to photograph the sky tonight and was delighted to also be able to get close to some cattle I’ve wanted to catch with my camera for a long time. Here are a few of my sky shots and one of the cattle.
Autumn is one of the best times to enjoy the view of the vineyards. The vines are dressed in their brightest colors as October nears an end, and most of the grapes are in the process of harvest or already through it. I hope you seeing these vines as I did on October 23, 2012, in some of my local vineyards in Paso Robles and Templeton.
Today the North County received two blessings — the rain and the rainbow. See the pictures.
