The Festival of the Arts Has Started

This is the weekend (May 25-27) to celebrate the arts at The Annual Paso Robles Festival of the Arts. I went to the “Don’t Feed the Artists” discussion in the library conference room this afternoon, but the main events are still to come tomorrow at City Park, and they are free to attend. Don’t miss them. Bring the kids and they will be exposed to fun art activities in their own corner of the park.

May in Paso Robles is full of exciting art exhibits and activities. There are currently at least two exhibits at Studios on the Park, and two celebrations Saturday night, May 5 within half a block of each other. If this weren’t enough, we have the Festival of the Arts to look forward to on May 25-27 — a three day event this year. Here’s a preview.

First Phantom Project at 672 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo

Today was the opening day of the first Phantom Project art exhibition, a juried show in San Luis Obispo. I’m hoping the pictures I took during my time there today will inspire you to go and look more closely at the details you can only see in person. Both 2-D and 3-D art was exhibited with mixed media, paintings, wood, and even fused glass. Many works contained recycled materials used in ingenius ways.
