Every year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, Templeton has its own art festival in the Templeton City Park. I went last year and would strongly encourage anyone at all interested in the arts and crafts to come out Saturday, May 7, to see what our local artists and craftsmen are capable of. There’s also plenty for the children to see and do, music, and wine tasting. Come any time between 9 AM and 5 PM, and do your Mother’s Day shopping all in one place. There is an incredible selection of handmade jewelry, art of all kinds and the opportunity to meet the people who make it. You can even have something special made to order.

I have written up last year’s Day in the Shade event complete with sights and sounds on video to give you an idea of what you might expect this year. The exhibits and entertainment may change from year to year, but I’m sure the quality will remain the same.
