Paso Robles Festival of the Arts, Main Event in the Park, 2012, Part 1
The 2012 Paso Robles Festival of the Arts has now vacated City Park for another year, and I’ve done my best to preserve some of it for you. In this post I will concentrate on the Children’s Area and the sculpture I saw. If you did not see enough Sculpture here, you have a chance to see more before and on June 2, 2012 at the Phantom 2 exhibit.
The Festival of the Arts Has Started
This is the weekend (May 25-27) to celebrate the arts at The Annual Paso Robles Festival of the Arts. I went to the “Don’t Feed the Artists” discussion in the library conference room this afternoon, but the main events are still to come tomorrow at City Park, and they are free to attend. Don’t miss them. Bring the kids and they will be exposed to fun art activities in their own corner of the park.

May in Paso Robles is full of exciting art exhibits and activities. There are currently at least two exhibits at Studios on the Park, and two celebrations Saturday night, May 5 within half a block of each other. If this weren’t enough, we have the Festival of the Arts to look forward to on May 25-27 — a three day event this year. Here’s a preview.

Don’t miss your opportunity to get informed on important national and local issues at the San Luis Obispo CountyTea Party Rally on Sunday afternoon, April 15 , from 1-3. You will meet Shannon Grove, a member of the California State Assembly from Bakersfield who is working on an initiative for a parttime California Legislature. Be sure to sign a petition to get this on the ballot before you leave the Rally.

Do you know what your local government is up to? Do you care? Maybe it’s time to pay attention if you value your way of life and your freedom. These people determine how you can use your land, whether your well can be regulated and how, whether you need to prevent rain and sprinkler water from running off your property into the street, where your trash cans can be stored, when you water your lawn and wash your car, and a number of other things. They also determine how your tax money is spent. They are currently trying to implement U.N. Agenda 21. Heard of it? If not, it’s time to inform yourself.
