This is the weekend (May 25-27) to celebrate the arts at The Annual Paso Robles Festival of the Arts. I went to the “Don’t Feed the Artists” discussion in the library conference room this afternoon, but the main events are still to come tomorrow at City Park, and they are free to attend. Don’t miss them. Bring the kids and they will be exposed to fun art activities in their own corner of the park.

Do you pay any attention to local government?
Do you know what your local government is up to? Do you care? Maybe it’s time to pay attention if you value your way of life and your freedom. These people determine how you can use your land, whether your well can be regulated and how, whether you need to prevent rain and sprinkler water from running off your property into the street, where your trash cans can be stored, when you water your lawn and wash your car, and a number of other things. They also determine how your tax money is spent. They are currently trying to implement U.N. Agenda 21. Heard of it? If not, it’s time to inform yourself.

Don’t miss Fabrications: Cutting Edge Fiber Arts, the exhibition that opened tonight at Studios on the Park in Paso Robles. I never knew quilts could be this beautiful. The exhibit lasts until April 1, 2012. I’m hoping this sample of what’s there will bring you in to see the rest.
Keeping an Eye on Local and State Government Officials
Are you aware that your local government officials are quietly implementing the goal of Agenda 21 in your city and county. That means the United Nations has more influence over the regulations being proposed where you live than you do, unless you learn how to fight it. You can learn that on Monday, Feb 13, 6 PM.
Do We Need More Regulation on “Aggressive” Dogs?
What do you think of proposed preemptive ordinances that could force people who own dogs to upgrade their fencing because of complaints that the dogs might be aggressive, even though no one has been attacked or hurt?
First Phantom Project at 672 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo
Today was the opening day of the first Phantom Project art exhibition, a juried show in San Luis Obispo. I’m hoping the pictures I took during my time there today will inspire you to go and look more closely at the details you can only see in person. Both 2-D and 3-D art was exhibited with mixed media, paintings, wood, and even fused glass. Many works contained recycled materials used in ingenius ways.
